Mark Berlinger

Meet Mark

Mark's counseling experience includes working with couples and adults from a variety of ages and stages of life. His interests include exploring the interaction of relationships internally with one's thoughts, feelings, memories, and beliefs as well as externally with others and the world. Mark holds that the ways we relate inform how we place value and worth, and that life can often be quite complicated, conflicted, and confusing when attempting to discern what is important. Mark hopes to offer a place to steadily explore and make sense of life by constructing personally chosen values and pursuing them.

Mark's approach is based in person-centered care and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. These approaches mean Mark strives to create a space of non-judgemental safety that allows for the exploration of values, conflicts between values, and internal discomforts. He works with clients to allow different identities and perspectives to emerge, and to cultivate change that requires both the belief in and practice of these possibilities.

Mark is an Intern working on their Master's of Education degree from the University of Missouri.

Mark is supervised by Crystal Williams, LMFT
