She has been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Missouri since 2022. Lauren has experience working with college students, young adults, adults, and geriatric populations in both inpatient, residential, outpatient, and virtual settings.
Lauren's counseling interests include mood disorders, specifically major depression and bipolar disorder, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, women’s issues, life transitions, and adjustment disorders. She maintains a clinical focus on skill use for regulating emotions and reducing distress, safe and effective communication, anxiety and stress management, and trauma informed work.
Lauren prioritizes the client-therapist relationship, seeing each session as an opportunity to authentically and safely connect and explore. She believes meaningful change begins with meeting people exactly where they are. She strives to create a supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. From this foundation, Lauren works collaboratively with clients to gently encourage movement toward the growth and changes they hope to see in their lives, at a pace that feels both respectful, realistic, and empowering. She utilizes a variety of modalities and techniques, focusing on DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), motivational interviewing, and psychoeducation.
