Mariah Keathley, LPC

Meet Mariah

Mariah Keathley is a licensed professional counselor and obtained her Masters of Education in Counseling from Stephens College in 2019. Mariah works with children, adolescents, and adults. Her clinical interests and experiences include depression and anxiety, trauma-informed care, and life transitions.

Mariah bases her work in a client-centered approach to therapy, believing each client is the expert on their own needs and draws from a variety of techniques and methodologies to support positive change, including mindful awareness, education on the mind-body connection, and human development.    She works to cultivate strong therapeutic relationships in a collaborative, validating environment with compassion, attunement, and genuineness while empowering clients through education on their own mental health and deepening connection to their sense of self, core values, and intuition. Her work also explores  the impact of family, social, and cultural systems on development and well-being.

Mariah's work with children focuses on a child-centered approach, using play therapy methods and parenting support and education to support clients and their families through challenges and transitions.

Mariah is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based treatment for trauma and and other concerns; Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders;  Sensorimotor Arousal Regulation Treatment (SMART), and Theraplay, an attachment-based treatment for children and caregivers, and Exposure and Response Prevention techniques. She is also a certified HeartMath trainer and a trained interventionist for the Safe and Sound Protocol.
