Meet Nick

Nick is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor and works under the supervision of Chris Lawrence. Nick completed his Master of Science in Clinical Counseling from Central Methodist University in May of 2023.

He is passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community as he is transgender. He also loves working with clients who have religious and spiritual trauma. Additionally, he works with addictions, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. Nick will work with adolescents and adults. He works from a person-centered and motivational interviewing approach, sometimes using DBT techniques.

Nick has recently been trained in EMDR, and he is working toward EMDR certification. He would love to listen to, validate, and support you as you work toward your personal goals. He will also be working in the HeartSpace clinic, which helps those affected by acute and cumulative stress and trauma through body-based treatment.

Nick brings Rick the therapy dog (pictured to the left) to most of his sessions. Rick loves people, treats, and attention, and he does a great job of emotionally supporting people
