Anne Bills, ME.d., PLPC

Meet Anne

Anne earned her Master of Education in Counseling from Stephens College in 2013 and retired in 2025 after 13 years of teaching Speech and Theatre with Columbia Public Schools. Teaching through the pandemic and its aftermath reaffirmed the importance of her counseling training and deepened her desire to support students and families beyond the classroom. Those experiences strengthened her commitment to meeting the needs of students, families, and colleagues with empathy, clarity, and care.

With a wide range of experiences in the arts, business, social settings, and education, Anne brings an eclectic and non‑judgmental approach to therapy. She listens with intention, asks thoughtful questions, and works collaboratively to help you explore your goals and chart a meaningful path forward.

Anne is an active member of the LGBTQIA community and has extensive, first‑hand understanding of the challenges, losses, hopes, and dreams experienced by people across all ages within this vibrant and courageous community. She is also a dedicated advocate for racial and cultural equality. Anne believes the diversity within our communities—and within our country—is something to be honored, uplifted, and celebrated.

Above all, Anne welcomes individuals from all backgrounds. Her practice is grounded in respect, compassion, and the belief that every person deserves to feel seen, supported, and valued.

Anne works under the supervision of Kim Bowman, M.Ed., LPC
